Spiritual Walk

September 9, 2012

Many people come to Christ and believe they are the only person saved, they are right and everyone else is wrong. Many believe they are the only person saved and all others are still lost.  God have forgiven us of our sins, but we are not willing to forgive others.  We condemn others of their sins while overlooking our own sins. We want to boast of our works, as if we will receive some “brownie points” from God. We reside inside the four walls and feel our work is accomplished and God is pleased with us. When spotlights and cameras are on, we want to be the “one to stand out”. If your service is to praise man, you have your reward. If a person can’t sing as well as another person; are they ridiculed for trying? Are you lifting Jesus, yourself or some other members? Does your witnessing have a testimony? Does our Spiritual life reflect light or darkness?

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me (Acts 26:18).

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8).

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief, rooms at feasts (Luke 20:46)

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves (Romans 15:1)

Is your Spiritual walk with God attracting followers or pushing followers away?
