Still Standing

December 17, 2012

In this day and age, Satan is on the loose. He is looking for prey to prey on. Even with the whole armor of God on, Satan is still casting arrows at us. People are losing homes, jobs and hope. Satan is using temptations and empty promises to lure God children away from God. Satan knows our weakness; that’s why the Bible describes Satan as a “clever deceiver”. Satan is running out of time and is seeking preys to prey upon and to lure as many souls as possible to eternal damnation. With all these shootings taking place, it is the works of Satan.
As children of the most High, what can we do to rest assured that God keeps us in the palm of His hand? Should we have any fears?
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. (II Corinthians 4:7-9)
Pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-13)
