What Is My Lanes

January 14, 2013

My lane is to labor in the vineyard and to do whatever my hands find to do. My lanes consists of visiting the sick, looking out for the welfare of the church, spreading the Gospel and being faithful until He returns.
I may not be anointed to sing, play instruments, do what others want me to do, but it’s all about pleasing Him and not man. I am just one member of the entire Body. My Bible tells me to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I know what He have done for me and I can’t hold my peace. If I get out of my lane, I don’t apologize.
And Jesus answering, a certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee (Luke 10:30-35).
Which now of these three, stayed in their lane unto him that fell among the thieves?
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised”.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12). If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet,
I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no needs: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked (1 Corinthians 12:15-24).
My lanes consists of pleasing God, doing His will, being led by the Holy Spirit, being obedient to the Holy Spirit and remain faithful until He returns. I don’t have to be on the stage or spotlights to be approved by men, because God recognizes my work behind the curtains.
Some lane ends, others yield, some are turning lanes, some are HOV lanes, and some are designated for slow and fast driving. Be sure, you are not driving too fast, too slow or in the yielding lane. For some, we need to be in the turning lane, so we can turn and live. Make sure your lane leads to eternal life.
