God or Guns?

January 30, 2013

December 14, 2012 left a large scar on the hearts of many with the shooting of the school in Connecticut. Twenty-seven families was destroyed and torn apart by a man made gun. This was the day Satan decided to use his power to destroy families. As we know, Satan primary purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. Satan destroyed the families, killed the joy and stole the lives of innocent children. Satan struck very close to homes by destroying innocent children. He pierced the hearts of many.
One month later, gun-smiths are still producing guns. People are standing in lines to purchase assault guns and buy up ammunition. Lawmakers are afraid to put their feet down against the horrible crimes committed by and with guns.
In my opinion, it’s alright for hunters to own a hunting rifle, shotguns or hand-guns. If citizens want an assault weapon, they should join the military. Assault weapons should be banned. The government should put their feet down and pass the law against assault weapons. Any stores or gun show selling assault weapons after the ban, should be severely fined and licenses should be revoked the second incident.
To solve the problems, without hurting feelings, our government has decided to allow teachers to carry guns, place security guards in the schools. What about God?
When we decided to kick God out of the schools, we invited Satan into the schools. Now, we want to trade God for guns. Security guards cannot guard the entire school, but God can. Growing up, we had prayer in the homes, at school and before a sporting event. Not one time, did I ever hear of someone shooting up schools.
We need to get back to the basis. Place God first in our lives, put prayer back into schools, put prayers back in the homes, teach our children to pray and place a “prayer covering” over our homes, the schools, our children and the communities.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13).
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? (1Peter 3:12-13).
Thus saith the Lord God; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword (Ezekiel 33:27).
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day (Psalms 91:5).
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee (Psalms 91:7).
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands. (Psalms 91: 10-12a).
Pray without ceasing (1 Thess.5:17).
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16b).
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy (Jude 1:24)
