It have been one year since Zimmerman was accused of shooting T. Martin down in the streets of Florida, and have not gone to trial.
I was not there, but from the information I heard, Martin did not have a gun. How can a person step out of an automobile, shoot another person and not be held liable for taking the life of a person. If one person had a gun and the other person had a bag of skittles, how would this formula equate to “self-defense? If the situation was reverse, would it take a year for Martin to go to trial?
We tend to expedite some cases to trial while we allow some cases to linger until people have forgotten about them. If we are not going to prosecute ALL wrong-doers, we should not prosecute anyone.
If the courts decided not to prosecute Zimmerman for his wrong-doing, he still has to face the court of the Most High God. Can he claim self-defense while God saw everything and know the whole story?
Yet, people want to enter Martin former actions into evidence while turning their heads to Zimmerman actions. If a person smoked marijuana or was expelled from school make him a candidate to be shot down in the streets? If God would execute us because of our sins, how many people would be on this earth? We all are guilty of some type of sins. Was Martin carrying a bag of skittles to a gun fight? Where was the “intent” to do bodily harm with a bag of skittles? I have never known anyone dying from a bag of skittles but people are dying everyday by the hand of guns. Guns are a weapon and skittles are candy.
Thou shalt not kill (Exodus 20:13)
As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice (Daniel 9:13-14).
How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? (Psalms 82:2)
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth (2Peter 1:12).
For there is no respect of persons with God (Romans 2:11).
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? (Romans 2:3).
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. (Genesis 4:10)
