War

March 17, 2013

While we are playing church, Satan is busy launching a “full fledge” war against Christians. Satan planted the seed of doubt in Christian minds. He wants Christians to believe that God does not care about them.
Satan knows his time is running out. Satan is fulfilling his “acts of terrorism” by attacking families through destroying families with lies, causing them to doubt faith in a living God, stealing their joy and any hope for their future. Satan is using “weapons of mass destruction” to attack the children of God. We can’t defeat Satan on our own. He is too strong and powerful. We need God to help us defeat Satan. David defeated Goliath with a sling-shot and a smooth stone, but we need the “whole armor” of God to defeat Satan.
Christians, we are on a battlefield. We are at war with an enemy we cannot even see. Satan is our enemy and not our friend. He is taking prisoners with his deceitful and false lies. He is promising to give us “our heart desires” in exchange for our souls. If Satan tempted Jesus, we are not exempt from his temptation. Satan has no respect of person. His primary purpose is to seek out “easy and weak prey” to prey upon. The Bible describes Satan as: “A clever deceiver, the father of lies and a roaring lion”. We have to study the Words of God for ourselves; that we can rightly divide the Word of truth. We have to know the difference between God voice and Satan voice. God will not lead us astray, nor will He tell us to do anything contrary to His will. We need to Stop, Look and Listen to what the Spirit is speaking to us.
As Christians, we can’t go onto the battlefield without being clothed in our full uniform. We have to watch and pray and watch the back of our fellow soldiers. Satan is always on a reconnaissance mission. He will study us, discover our weakness and attack us at our weakest moment as he did Jesus. He knew Jesus had been in the wilderness for forty days, He was hungry and tired, when Satan attacked Him.
My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:10-18).

    Praise God for the Man of God as he rallies the troops. As the enemy countinues to launch his attacks we can be encouraged by the word of God as we declare Victory in Jesus. We declare No Retreat No Surrender! I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Amen Pastor Fairley Amen
