We can’t celebrate Easter without Christmas. Many people celebrate the holiday by attending church, Easter programs, buying cards, baskets and new clothes.
Easter is more about bunnies, new clothes and attending church services once a year. We should not put down on a person for attending Easter services. This may be their Easter. God can meet them there and the Spirit jump into them and they catch on fire for God.
Without Christ being born on Christmas, there would be no Easter. We preach or hear messages of how He rose that Easter morning. There is so much more leading up to what He did. He was rejected, beaten, denied, falsely accused, betrayed, had no sins, but died for all sinners. He hung and DIED on an “old rugged cross” for OUR SINS that Friday evening. He was placed in a borrowed tomb for two days. Early (what we call Easter), God raised Him with all powers.
I was not there that Easter morning when the Angels rolled back the stone. I was right there that Wednesday night, when His grace and mercy rolled back the stone from my heart. I was right there when He came into my heart and rose that night. Now, I can tell a dying world that He lives. I don’t have to wait until the calendar decides what Sunday the Country will celebrate Easter. I have Easter everyday; thanks to Him. Because He died, rose and lives, I can face tomorrow without fear.
He have taken the sting out of death and claimed victory over the grave. We too, can have the same victory if we will allow Him to come into our hearts. He will come on the inside and make us new. His grace and mercy will give us victory over the grave by His powers.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelations 3:20)
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. (1 Corinthians. 15:8) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:55-58)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
