Why do people wear sagging pants? Does it make you look cool or like a fool? I was in the parking lot at Walmart and watched a woman pushing a loaded cart while two teenage males were walking behind her with sagging pants. Why would you pay for groceries, have to push it, load it and cook it when you get home?
I see males, (calling themselves) fathers in public with their family and sagging pants. Men were given dominion by God to be the head of the family. Would you allow your daughter to wear sagging pants in public?
Fathers are expected to be a “walking example and not a talking example”. How can you tell your son to do as “I say and not as I do”. Children will pattern themselves by what they see from their parents. If you want to be a role model in your child life, let them see you following Jesus, obeying the laws, obtaining a good report, walking worthy before God and men, putting your family first and love your family as Christ has loved the church. Let your family see your “prayer life, your daily walk with God, your endless faith and teaching your children how to be saved”.
Many fathers are trying to rekindle their youth, be hip or be their son friend. It is a total disgrace to see a thirty year old man wearing sagging pants. It’s not cute for a 5 year old to wear sagging pants but it’s a total disgrace for a person over the age of 12. It’s past time for men to stand up and be men. Some men don’t want to take care of their children, don’t want to leave them a life insurance; just a funeral bill. I see men wearing earring. Some of these men have titles as Spiritual leaders. Not judging anyone, but how can you be a Spiritual leader and still holding on to earthly fables?
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1-2)
And God said; Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (1 Corinthians 13:11)
At some point, we have to leave the past in the past. We should not follow any traditions that we don’t know what it represents.
