IF YOU LOVE ME

April 28, 2013

We say that we love a person, have children with them but won’t marry them? People would rather live in sin, than to follow after righteousness. When death come knocking on our hearts, we leave the spouse without Social Security benefits because we have not handled our business. Spouses cannot draw your Social Security benefits because we have not made it legal and binding by giving them our last name. A death certificate and marriage license is two forms the Social Security Administration will ask for when a person attempt to file a claim.
Many parents have refused to leave their children an inheritance. We do not leave a “life insurance policy” for our spouse and children. We leave them memories and a final funeral bill.
If you love your spouse and children, why are you not leaving them an inheritance? Don’t you want to know (not if, but when) death come for us, that you don’t have to worry about your family being homeless and your small children can have food, clothes, shoes and attend college?
We need to take the necessary steps to provide for our family. Most employers offer a $10,000 life policy. How far will $10,000 go if you leave a spouse and a couple of children? Half of the insurance policy will go toward the funeral. When your monthly income is lacking, the family will suffer.
Don’t be selfish. Think of your love ones and not the few dollars a life insurance policy will cost you.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. (1 Timothy 5:8)
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Romans 12:9)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. (1 Corinthians 13:1)
It’s so easy to say “you love a person”. Love is an action verb. Behind the word “love” should be some action.
God did not just love us with words. For God so loved the world, that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
