When Did the Bible Change?

May 20, 2013

I often hear people want to rephrase what God have said. If God said “it was wrong in 1900 makes it wrong in 2013. The Bible was written by men inspired by God. It was written for reproof and correction.
If we follow the outline He has laid out for us, we won’t have as many problems as we face daily. When we veer away from God outline and teaching, we find ourselves in deep waters by trying to interpret what God meant. If God said “thou shalt not or thou shall” is exactly what He meant. He did not leave anything for us to paraphrase. God did not studder when He spoke.
We can’t take away or add to what God have said. His Words was final when they fell from His lips. When God commanded us “train up a child in the way they shall go”. Those that God loves, He chastise. If we allow our children to talk back to us or dishonor us, we are sentencing our children to death, if they don’t sentence us first.
Parents have attempted to revise God rule to accommodate for their children. God always know what is best for us, even when we don’t. God ways and thoughts are much higher than ours. We don’t want anyone to chastise our children. We are a new generation but God and His Words are still the same. I have not found anywhere when God said “put your child in time-out”. We can’t be parents and friends to our children. In parent roles, we have to make tough decisions in which will not always make us our children number 1 friend.
Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.(Proverbs 13:18)
Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.(Proverbs 13:24)
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live LONG on the earth.” And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.(Ephesians 6:1-4)
Do not withhold correction from a child, For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell.(Proverbs 23:13-14).
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.(Proverbs22:6)
We allow children to engage in “adult” conservations and talk back. God have our best interest at heart. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.(Jeremiah 29:11)
I thank God for the discipline I received from my parents, church family and the community. I recall carrying my electric guitar to church for the Christmas play. When the play was over, I began playing “Choking Kind” from Joe Simon. Our pastor came in and told me to quit playing that devil music in God house. People respected God, the law, each other and the House of God. God Words is here for eternity. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.(Matt.24:35)
