Do You Remember?

June 2, 2013

Do you remember when you were sick and God healed your bodies? Do you remember when you were jobless, but God blessed you with a job? When you needed a bill paid and did not see any way out, but God provided for you. When you made vows to God during your storms, but when the sun shined again, you forgot the vows you made?
Do you remember where God have brought us from? Now, we have a house, job, a title, a little education and how we neglected to remember it was God. Do you remember how God watched over you and kept you safe, while you were doing your dirt? Do you remember how God kept you safe during your Saturday night parties, but won’t take time to show up for church on Sunday mornings? Do you remember when you withheld promotions or mistreated someone because of their skin color or nationality? Do you remember when God had compassionate on you but you refused to have compassionate on another person?
Do you remember the doors that were closed for a promotion or employment, but God opened another door for you? Do you remember the person or friend that had your back? Now, you are on your feet and have forgotten. Do you remember when we were dead in sins but God sacrificed His only Begotten Son to die, that we may live? When one of our children or spouse is in trouble or need healing, we run to the church or prayer warriors to get prayers through. After God have delivered or healed them, they stop showing up for church.
If we make vows to God during our desperation period, we should honor those vows. I am quite sure the Israelites made vows to God while in bondage. After God delivered them, allowed them to escape any threats of Pharaoh, they went about doing their own thing. If God have delivered your feet out of the miry clay and planted your feet on a Solid Ground, you should thank Him and keep your vows. If God have ever done anything for you, you should give Him praises and thanks. He alone is worthy to be praised. He did something for us that we couldn’t do for ourselves.
(The LORD your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the LORD your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth. (Deuteronomy 6:15).
“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. “You shall have no other gods before Me. (Exodus 20:2-3)
In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you. (Exodus 20:24)
As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:11-12)

For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you. (2 Peter1:12-13)
