What Are You Saying?

August 26, 2013

While watching the news media talking about the Obama Care Insurance, they can never find anything positive to say about the President. They want to bring up the cost to provide healthcare for Americans.
Seven years under Bush, the Country wasted billions of dollars fighting a war in Iraq, looking for invisible “weapon of mass destruction” but no one complained or even asked “where is the money going to come from”. We can’t provide quality education for our children, but overnight, we can come up with a plan to build and promote a new stadium; even if it meant asking churches to sell properties. Why is the mayor promoting the dome so heavy? Is it to make a name for him? Has he forgotten “it was God that brought him from the backdoor to the Capitol”? It was not the Falcons, Arthur Blank, politics; but God.
Our officials have sent a clear message to the citizens of Atlanta. “We care more about a new stadium than we do “the citizens, education or churches”. This is the beginning of the end for mankind and the beginning of the “Round Up”. In the roundup, people want the President, Odis Nixon and Burrell Ellis heads on a charger. In the roundup and my opinion, black men are shot down like “rattlesnakes” and none of our officials are concerned about it. It has been proven that a dog life is more important than a black man life.
Our government protects wet lands, trees, fowls, animals and reptiles, but man has no one to protect them. Our officials allow officers to treat people like “non-citizens” by kicking in doors in the middle of the night. If citizens committed acts like officers, they would be terminated without a hearing. Yes, the officers are placed on administrative leave and investigated by other officers. Do you think one officer is going against another officer? When an officer is involved in a shooting, they are placed on administrative leave with pay. When an educator is accused of cheating, they are terminated. Are not educators and officers “state employees”? How can there be that much of a difference between state employees?
It appears, our government is locking up almost every black person they can find. If three black men are riding together, they are considered a “gang”. If three Caucasians are riding together, they are “car-pooling”. While listening to the news, many congressmen, mayors, governors and citizens condemn the President but not one person is coming forward with any solutions. In my opinion, many stations increase their viewing rating through negativism. Some people believe the unemployment rate is the President fault. A person has to look at their state leaders to provide jobs before looking at the President to provide jobs.
On Tuesday, a gunman walked into the school at DeKalb County. We have taken God out of schools and put gunmen in. We have substituted God for guns. People were praising DeKalb County police for saving their children. Where was God in the picture? What the gunman meant for evil; God meant for good. God always have a plan and a ram in the bush. He knows the plan He has for all our lives. It was God that kept your children safe. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s. (Matt. 22:21)
In the eyes of humans, we still look at people through “black and white” eyes. In Georgia, people want Otis Nixon prosecuted for “ripping off citizens” but turn their heads to the official in Douglas County ripping off taxpayers. One station had investigated him of keeping “drug seized automobiles, giving seized automobile to his office manager”and using government credit card to purchase gas for her automobile. Since the segment, I have not heard one word of the official being indicted or persecuted.
Are we saying “it’s alright for some and wrong for others”? Churches are not speaking out against wrong doings and we wonder “why the churches have no power and people are leaving in numbers”. We come out on Sunday and Wednesday to play church and think God is pleased with our twice-a-week auditions. When we look into the vineyards, we see trees in the orchard sagging with much fruit. Some fruits have dropped from the trees while wasting away on the ground, and being devoured by fowls (drugs, violence, gang activities, lack of teaching or caring). Why? There’s not enough “sincere laborers” to gather the fruit. We are too busy patting ourselves on our backs. Maybe, we are too close to the mirror. We can’t see God through our own glorified self.
Souls are at risk and we can’t wait on someone else to minister and reach out to these souls. We can’t reach souls through once a week gathering. We have to go into the trenches, vineyards, valleys, hills and mountains to reach these souls. We can’t wait until the lost souls come to us; we have to go to them. Jesus said “He would make us fishermen of men”. We can catch more men (fish) if we use love as our bait and not condemnation.
How can a doctor take an oath to save lives but refuse to treat a teenager because of his past? We all have a past, but Christ died for us and willing to forgive us, if we would only repent. Where is the compassionate? Are we so busy looking at others faults through “black and white eyes” until we can’t see their needs?
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. (Jeremiah 8:20)
Then saith he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. (Matt. 9:37)
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:6-7)
