May The Works I Done, Speak For Me

December 16, 2013

Some people want their names put on billboards or under bright lights. Some people like to boast of their works; through a song, sermon or long prayers. People pat themselves them on their own backs; rather than giving praises to God.  . The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. (Luke 18:10-14) I am only a voice crying in the wilderness; “repent and be saved”.

I may never live in a mansion, drive a fancy car, be a millionaire or have my name engraved in gold, but I am sure of these two things; God is real and my name have been written in the Lamb Book of Life.  Having my name written in the Eternal Life Book is good enough for me. I don’t need riches or gold; just give me Jesus.

If I can help someone along the way or lead a sinner to Christ is reward for me.  I am just a nobody, trying to tell everybody about Someone that can save anybody. This life is not my own.  I am here to praise Him and lift Him up. It is more about Him and less about me. If I attempt to lift myself or be praised by men, I already have my rewards. I am just a servant of Jesus Christ.  Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead 😉 (Galatians 1:1) There would be no “I” without Him. As I decrease; He increases. I am only a forerunner telling everyone to “repent” and turn from their wicked ways. To preach the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth. (Romans 1:16)

When I am resting in my grave, I hope I have done all my hands and heart could do. I hope the Lord will understand. I pray my assignments have been completed and the Lord will give me a resting place. In my grave, there won’t be any guilt or assignment undone.  I pray, Precious Lord, take my hand and lead me home. Did I make full proof of my ministry and the time allowed on this earth? All the glory belongs to the Lord. Through Him, we can do all things. Without Him, can we do nothing?

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (Matt. 25:34-40).

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. (Matt.5:44)

The world will love its own. We can’t be a friend of God and a friend of the world. Choose you today whom you will serve. When this life is over, will God invite you to sit on His right side or tell you to depart from Him; for I never knew you. We see the Bible being fulfilled and the time of His return is near. Are we ready for His return? Being good will not earns us eternal life; it’s His grace given to us freely. We have to confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. Our salvation has already been purchased with a very high price. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. He is still waiting with out-stretch arms and willing to forgive. The day you hear His voice, harden not your hearts. I believe Heaven would rejoice if our preaching, teaching and witnessing would cause one lost person to turn from their wicked ways, repent and be saved.
