What Will Cause You To Rejoice?

December 22, 2013

When we listen to the news, read newspapers or talk to people, we always hear of bad news.  I bring you good news today:  Regardless how the earth is spinning out of control, God is still in control of every situation. He is still sitting on the throne. He still loves and cares for us. He is still waiting with love, patience and out-stretches arms for sinners to repent.

Will winning a lottery causes you to rejoice?  Will the birth of a child cause you to rejoice? Would buying your first home or automobile cause you to rejoice? Would hearing good news cause you to rejoice?  We all have something that will cause us to rejoice.

When Jesus forgave our sins is reason enough to rejoice.  His Words will cause us to rejoice or take inventory of ourselves.  I rejoice at just the name of Jesus. There is no other name whereby we can be saved.  Jesus, O how I love calling your name.  Your name is good news to my ears.  I love Jesus because He first loved me.  His name sound like sweet music to my ears and cause my heart to say “thank You”.  If it was not for Jesus on my side, where would I be?

I would still be lost in a world of sins. I would still be blind without any hope.  I am rejoicing because I know He is true to His promises. I know, He will never leave me nor forsake me.  I can call Him anytime and He is never too busy.  In His name, there is power, healing and forgiving.  We can just call His name and circumstances will change.  We make our prayers in His name and things changes. In His name, the impossible become possible.  When we think of the awesome God we serve, causes our hearts to rejoice.  Because He lives, I can face tomorrow and all my fears are gone.  He died for me that I may live.  When we open the door of our hearts and invite Him in, it will cause us to rejoice.

My heart is still rejoicing because He saved a wretch like me.  He did for us what no other person could do.  His saving grace cause us to rejoice and sing “O Happy Day because He washed all our sins away.  Give Him praises, rejoice and be glad; for His mercy endures forever.  Every day is a day of thanksgiving, because He woke us and blessed us to see another day.  Regardless of the weather condition, I will rejoice.  If I don’t have everything I want, I thank Him; for I have everything I need.  We serve a God that sits high and look low.  God is full of love and compassion. For those reasons, we should rejoice because of His goodness and mercy. God have not forgotten His promises.  If He promised, He will deliver.  He will deliver “on time”.

For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

And Mary said, my soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. (Luke 1:44-47)

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. (Luke 1:49)
