Words of Encouragement

January 8, 2014

Satan is busy trying to kill our joy, destroy our walk and kill our encouragement. “We will continue looking unto the Hill from whence cometh all our help. No weapons formed against us shall prosper”.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding. God ways are always best. He knows the plans He has for us. They are for good and not evil. God wants us to trust Him with all our fears and doubts. The things that seem impossible to man are possible through and with God.

As we go into a New Year, leave all doubts, self-pity, fears, failures and disappointments in 2013. This is a New Year with a new beginning. 2013 is behind us and 2014 is before us. Take your limitations off God and realize “God is unlimited”. Let the past of 2013 die with the old year.  God is going to do a new thing in 2014. DO YOU NOT KNOW IT? Leave all your dead weights of 2013 in 2013.

If you need a job, send out resumes, fill applications, visit employers and pray. “Faith without works is dead”. God will help us but we have to have faith the size of a mustard seed, pray and believe He can open any doors. If you need deliverance from something, He will deliver you if only “you ask and believe”. If you want to have a closer relationship with Him; make time for Him, study His Words, seek Him, pray and be available. If you lack wisdom and knowledge, ask and He will give it to you. You been praying for a job and God have not forgotten you. “Weeping may last for a night, but joy WILL come in the morning. Hold on through the year and 2014 will bring joy. The night might seem unbearable or long; just HOLD ON. God have not forgotten you or broken His promises. He will never leave nor forsake us.

If you are not in a church a (body of believers), find a church where God is Supreme. Get into a good Bible study, be willing to be led and taught and receive His Words with an open heart and ears. A body of believers is a strong bond. Not only will you have to pray for yourself, but you will have other believers to stand with you in agreement; to strengthen, support and encourage you. A body of believers will cover you; pray with you and for you. “The prayer of the righteous available much”. In this day, too many prayer warriors will not harm you.

“Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard nor have entered the heart of man the good things God have for us”. Haven’t we made enough mistakes on our own? Our ways are not working, so why not try God ways? What do we have to lose? Let us go into 2014 with a new attitude, a new way of thinking and a new way of doing things. Before we attempt to make a decision, STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN to the voice of God. When God speaks, He is saying something for our benefits.

Believers go through trials and tribulations. “Blessed is the man that endures temptations when he is tried”. Job was a righteous man but Satan took everything he had from his children, health, cattle, home and even so call friends. Jesus Himself went through false accusations, betrayed, beaten, persecuted, tempted by Satan even unto death. Some of Jesus disciples were beaten, imprisoned, beheaded for preaching the gospel. Stay on the battlefield. Serving the Lord will pay off.

When you find yourself in a valley, keep looking up. Jesus will bring you out and deliver you. When He brings you out, you will be stronger, wiser and depend on Him. He will make a way out of no way. When our ways seem dark, He will give light to our path.  When we are down to our last, Jesus will step in. “He might not come when we want Him, but He is never late but always on time. Trust Him with your heart, your plans and your future.
