A Safe Place

June 2, 2014

In this day and time, people are losing their lives to officer shootings and shooting one another. There is no remorse from the public or law enforcements. At this slaughter rate, there won’t be many people remaining for officers to serve or protect.

This “safe place” is only in God. We should have confidence, as we are walking through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall not fear what man can do unto us. We know that He is walking with us. I don’t fear of what man can do unto me. Man can kill the body but not touch “my soul”. To live is Christ but to die is gain.

The decree has been activated. We have allowed every person to carry a gun. We have allowed the House of the Lord to be “dishonored” by allowing guns in His House. A person can be shot down coming from church, going to church or in the church house. More guns are not the answer. A person is not safe around anyone that is trigger happy or afraid. When we replace God and prayers with guns, we will get the same results.

Newnan Times-Herald-Apr 5, 2014

Since March 25, seven shootings have occurred in Newnan and Coweta County … Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, officers with the Newnan Police … This number should reflect twelve months and not eleven days.

I have been stopped by officers on my way to church to inquire where I was going. I have had an officer walk up to my truck and “unsnap his holster” for no apparent reason; except to try and intimidate me. If my life would have ended there, I would have been in a “safe place”. If I don’t wake up in the morning, everything will be alright. Life is so short and unpredictable to live in fear. Not one person can pray or ask for forgiveness from the grave. We need to live each day as if it were our last and number our days.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalms 23:4)

Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. (Revelations 3:3) The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart] (that is, the word of faith which we preach):  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:8-9)

If your life expired today, would you be in a “safe or horrible” place? Don’t leave any room for doubt. Make sure you have accepted the Lord as your Savior.
