So Glad

September 29, 2014

I am so happy that God is not like people. With God, people don’t have to beg or plead for Him to grant their requests and needs. When some people get on their feet, they forget when a person bailed them out and was there to have their back in time of need. I had a “so call friend” that I had loaned my automobile, loaned money to pay utilities, buy milk, grocery, diapers and medicine for his children. When I asked him for help, he started making excuses or said “I can’t”. It’s so amazing how people lean on you when you are helping them. When you ask them for help, they soon forgot what you did for them. This reminds me of everything God did for (us) and the Israelites and how they (we) forgot when they were on “safe grounds”. Never forget God or the people that had your back in the valley.

I thank God for Him being God all by himself. He is faithful to His Word and His promises. My father once told me: “if you never ask anyone for help, you will never be disappointed when they fail you”. God will never fail us nor forsake us. Through storms, disasters and dark clouds, He is right there.

Some time ago, I was working overtime and became hungry. I asked a co-worker to borrow .15 cents to buy a sandwich from the machine. I had money in my wallet but not any small bills. The machines only accepted $1.00 bills. I had enough change to buy a cup of coffee and a cake to hold me until I got home. This co-worker replied; “I didn’t take you to raise”. This taught me to never beg or ask anyone for anything. It alright to ask a person for help, but we don’t have to beg or plead. God words states: The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want”. We don’t have to beg God for anything. “Make our requests and prayers known unto God. “I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread”. (Psalms 37:25) “Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me”. (Psalms 41:9)  A friend loves at all times (Proverbs 17:17a)

I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned. I am the Lord thy God. (Isaiah 43:2-3)

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Luke11:9-10)
