When I look around, I can see “obedience turned into disobedience”. God gave us laws to follow for our own good. In the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam and Eve one command; “you shall not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil”. (Genesis 2:15)

When we disobey God, it brings consequences. “For the wages of sins is death; but the gift of God is eternal life”. (Romans 6:23)  Which choice would you choose today? Again, God is saying “my little children, I wish not that you sin; but when you do, you have an Advocate to go to. (1 John 2:1)   God already had our best interest at heart when He created us. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jerimiah 29:11)

I have seen bumper stickers that read “God bless America” while we are doing evil. “For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil”. (Romans 16:19) It appears that America has become a killing field and a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. (Deuteronomy 28: 50) People are killing one another, officers are killing people, and people are placed on death row and later, executed (legally). Many posts on social media have posted “police life matters” so does citizen lives. We can’t protect some and allow others to go unprotected. I don’t believe that God is happy with all these killings and people getting off on “technicalities”. God Word will not come back void. God have stated in His word “Thou shall not murder”. (Exodus 20:13). There is no “badge, law, jury, grand jury or government agency” that can over-rule God words. God is God alone. God have His own agency to investigate all wrong doing. One of His agents is called “soon be”. When soon be get on your trail, you are in danger of being cut down like the green grass. (Psalms 37:1)

We must not let the corruption of this world change our walk with God. God is coming back soon and we all are going to be judge according to our work and His law. Keep doing good in your walk with Christ.  “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart”. (Galatians 6:9) Don’t let success turn you away from the Law of God.  When God open our eyes and we come to ourselves and realize “our way is contrary to God law” and we are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us”. (2 Kings 7:9) We cannot continue shooting unarmed people, robbing people or executing people. Two wrongs will never make a right. How can the Country convict and execute one person for murder and call it legal? On Judgment day, who will be held accountable for taking the life of that person? Will it be judge and jury that sent down the death penalty, the person that carried out the death sentence or the lab that made the lethal medicine? With officer killings, will the grand jury be held accountable for condoning officer negligence or the officer that chose to pull the trigger? “What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies”?  (Nehemiah 5:9) God will not allow innocent blood to be shed. “And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground”. (Genesis 4:10) The word of God have already warned us “And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.(Luke 12:47)

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King (1 Peter 2:17) When we study God word in the book of Deuteronomy 28:15-68, we find the curses of disobedience. God did not give His Only Begotten Son to die for our sins that we can just live any way we please. There are consequences for our disobedience. The price of our salvation was paid with a very high price. God have been patience with us, blessed us and brought us into a New Year.  As we go into a New Year, let us turn from our wicked ways, seek His face, repent, pray and allow God to heal our land. Time is running out. If you hear His voice today, don’t harden your heart but come unto Him with your sins, faults and brokenness. He will in no wise cast you out. Trust Him today and give it to Him. He is still standing with out-stretch arms and ready to receive us. He wants to make you whole. Will you allow Him to make you whole? Don’t put off tomorrow of what you can do today. Tomorrow is not promise. Don’t wait until you get yourself right. If it were that simple, Christ would not have had to die. Come before Him with Thanksgiving, your sins, confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Prayer: (If you are lost today) Father, thank You for being patience with me. I come to you broken but when I leave here, I shall be made whole. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right Spirit within me.  Fill me with Your Spirit and I will praise thou Holy name. I confess that I have sinned and walked contrary to Thy will. Today, I give my life, my heart and my soul to You. Amen.
