Conversion vs Regeneration

March 23, 2015

In God dealing with man; there’s always a human side and Divine side.  God inspired men and they wrote down what God inspired them to write.

There’s a Divine side and human side to Jesus Christ. There’s a human side and Divine side to salvation. We call the human side-conversion. Conversion comes about through believing and faith. “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith). If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.   For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:8-10)

Jesus, through the Divine side brings regeneration. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” (Galatians 4:6) this is the Divine side. Regeneration entered the conservation when Jesus was talking to Nicodemus. “You must be born again”. You have been born of a woman but now, you need to have a Spiritual birth.  Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’  The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:4, 6-8) Regeneration is no more than the “New Birth” brought on by God. Regeneration takes place on the inside and not the outside.
