Glory to God

June 16, 2015

I was ministering to a couple when the lady began shedding tears. She informed me of how the confirmation was revealed to her with my teaching and “chill bumps” had covered her arms while I was ministering.  “Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven”. (Matthew 16:17)

On Friday night, a young man told me how inspirational and encouraging the way I explain Scriptures. The Gospel was meant to be taught for all ages and education status to understand. When we are being led by the Holy Spirit, It will give us utterance of how to minister to people. Many people are still babies in Christ and not ready for meat. “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, which you may grow thereby.” (1 Peter 2:2) On Monday evening, my wife had sent me a picture on the phone. While viewing the picture, she started calling. When I got home, I found a tree in the backyard had fallen. When I went out back to view the damages, I saw how God hand had guided the tree between the two upstairs windows and down between the downstairs windows. There were no broken glass, damaged to the house or backdoor. All I could say was “Glory to God”.

I never attempt to boast or glorify myself, but the Father in Heaven may be glorified. I am just a humble servant and a voice in the wilderness. If I can help or direct one prodigal son or daughter to find their way back home, my teaching was not in vain. We can’t use a person past or present to beat them. “The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying; yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee”. (Jeremiah 31:3) One day, I was lost, blind and a wretch undone. Glory to God, I am not as close to God as I would like to be, but I thank Him that I am not where I once were. Because of His grace and mercy, I am no longer lost; but I am found. He has opened my eyes and calls me Son.

Prayer: Father in Heaven, let Your word go forth and draw men unto you. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O lord, my Strength and Redeemer. We know that Your word will do that which You sent it to do. As we sow Your word, we ask You to water and increase IT. We pray for labors to come into the vineyard and ask You for a great harvest in Jesus name. Amen
