Who Will Care

August 10, 2015

Who will care for our sons being shot down in the streets by officers?

When his voice has been silenced, he has nothing to offer.

Who will care for the grieving mother of the slain?

That cries herself to sleep, night after night in unrelenting pain?

Who will care for all the fallen victims?

When the justice system tells us to give up the right for the wrong?

Who will care for the women, mothers and daughters dying in jail cells?

Their deaths are an unsolved mystery; they are dead and cannot tell.

Who will care for our children that have fallen prey to the streets?

As we pray to God for their souls to keep?

Who will care for the homeless, hungry and needy?

While our politicians are filling their pockets and being greedy?

Who will care for all those lost and gone astray?

In God’s grace, I pray they will stay.

Who will care for us when the world is spinning out of control?

The Lord of Host will never forsake us; because He is still in control.

While men are being cut away like blades of grass; we will not bow, give up or give in;

If we believe, God will raise us again.

Who will care about my spilled blood that lies waste upon the ground?

When not “guilty indictment or verdict” within man’s justice can to be found?

Who will care about the hot bullets piercing my chest?

This can kill my body but never my spirit; for I am at rest.

My family and friends held me dearly in their hearts

Still my life cut short

It is by your actions that my family is torn apart.

Who will care that your actions brought my life to an abrupt end;

My killer’s life continues unchanged yet will steal again and again

I will never hear the voices or laughter that once filled my life with joy;

It is by your hand their very soul has been ripped like a toy.

Their hearts are filled with pain and will never cease to bleed.                                                           My grave is covered with grass and leaves.

In Athens, GA one officer fired for assaulting a college student “Officer fired, accused of assaulting student…

In Union City, GA an officer is found not guilty for shooting an unarmed black teen in the back. shooting of an      unarmed black teen in the back……shootingunarmed-teen-reopened-after/nmH9H

What message is our Country sending? It is a crime to assault a student but it’s alright to shoot a black teen in the back. I am not trying to cause division but to open eyes to the wrong-doing and injustices taking place in this Country. If a dog walk on four legs, looks like a dog, bark like a dog; “it is a dog and we can’t mistake a dog for a cat”.

It’s time we come together in prayer as a Country. We need to pray for one another, encourage, support and be there for each other. God is able to turn things around. Make your prayers and supplications known unto Him, for He does care for us. God see our tears, hear our moans and see the hurt in our hearts. We must trust God with our concerns and our future. The grand jury may have given corrupt officers a “free pass” in the earthly court-room, but there’s a path we all have to travel and there is a Supreme Judge we all must face. “Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart”. (Psalms 37:1-4)

Prayer: Father, we stretch our hands to Thee, no other help we know. We ask You to touch and change hearts. Replace hate with love, misunderstanding with understanding. As we lift You up, we ask You to draw sinners unto you. We ask You to look upon every bereaved family. Comfort them and give them peace that surpasses all understanding. We know that you are a Heart-fixer, a Deliverer and You cannot fail. We need You in this evil and selfish world. We will forever lift You up, praise Your Holy name and worship You. Amen
