Just In Time

March 14, 2016

Life can beat us down and turn us upside down. Just when we think we have everything planned out, this thing call life gives us another twist. Many times, we find ourselves in horrible pits but God lifted us out and placed our feet upon a Solid Ground. Looking back, God have always been right on time. When I was young, I didn’t realize how my parent’s prayers carried me, protected me and covered me.

I have been to the gate of Hell but God grace, mercy and protection kept me. God had given me the opportunity to “find Him in the day when He could be found”. I could have been resting in my grave but God kept me. Satan desired to sift me as wheat but God had already prayed for me. God is never early, late but He is always just in time. Trials and tribulations of life will take a toll on the best of us. When we are about to throw in the towel of defeat, God will show up just in time. When we don’t see any way out of our mess, God will make a way and turn our mess into blessings. “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him”. (James 1:12)

God told Abraham to carry Isaac (your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Abraham faith was tested but Abraham was being obedient to the will of God.  Abraham obedience caused God to provide a ram in the bush to take the place of Isaac. “And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham! So he said, “Here I am”. And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me. Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.  And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” (Genesis 22:10-14)

One day, I was sinking in a sea of sin. I was going down for the last time, but I called out to God to save me. He reached down just in time and saved a wretch like me. In prayer, we don’t have to pray long, just pray strong and it won’t take God long to come and see about us. The race is not given to the swift but to the one that endures. As the blood is still running warm in our veins, we have an opportunity to be saved. The thief did not live a lifetime of being saved but recognized Jesus as being Lord and Savior. Just in time, the thief came to Jesus. “Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom. And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43) Don’t gamble with your soul until the death angel draw the curtain of death over your eyes. If you have not already accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, do it today. He will come in just in time to save you and you could be with Him in Paradise.

Prayer: Lord I came to you just as I was. I was wounded and with plenty baggage. You looked beyond all my faults and saw all of my needs. Thank You for saving a wretch like me. Thank You for being a “just in time God”. God, I give Glory and Honor to Your Holy name. There’s no other name under the sun that will show up, show out and arrive just in time. If I had a thousand tongues, I could not thank You enough. In Jesus name, my heart and soul say yes to Your will and yes to Your way. Amen!
