Reflections and Declaration

January 2, 2017

Looking back over 2016, I see where God brought me from, protected me and held death at bay for another year. 2016 brought many tears, pains and blessings. If you are reading this right now, take a minute to say “thank you, God”. It was not that we were that good, but God grace and mercy kept us. When I take a look around, I see how evil and hatred is home-grown. People are taking lives without any sympathy or remorse. In 2017, lay down the guns and pick up God’s Word. His Word will sustain us where guns will fail.

I am praying the seeds of our ancestors will germinate and break ground and there will be a great harvest. In (Jeremiah 29:11), God is speaking into our lives by revealing His plans for us. “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. God does not take pleasure in us fighting and killing. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. (Psalms 133:1) God has brought us into a new season and a new year. Don’t carry the hate, evil, strife, division and killings into the new year. When Joshua was about to lead the Israelite s into the Promise Land, Joshua told the people to “sanctify yourselves” (Joshua 3:5b) We have started our journey into a new ground. God is wanting to carry us to places we have never been but we have to sanctify ourselves. Don’t allow negative people to dictate your destiny. Other people cannot comprehend the vision God gave to you. God has promised us “Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31) Don’t allow disobedience to cause you to miss your blessings. God have said “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion”. (Hebrews 3:7-8)

Prayer: Father, as we enter the New Year, we thank You. We pray for increase of labors in the vineyard. We pray that sinners will accept Your invitation into eternal life and rest. We pray that the lost may be found, the blind receive sight; the deaf may hear and the hardhearted may receive Your word and turn from their wicked ways. We decree a great shaking of faith upon this earth. Lord, send us a revival and heal this land.
