Spiritual Warfare

February 20, 2017

When I look at the direction of this Country, evil is attempting to overthrow good. When God is not in the plan, darkness will shield the light. The enemy is busy destroying families, dividing the Country, stealing souls, causing people hearts to harden and people leaning to their own understanding.

My children, we must not allow our focus to be altered. There is nothing done in the dark that won’t be revealed. We have the promise of the Word of God to comfort us. “No weapon formed against us shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17) “Fret not thyself of evil-doers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb.” (Psalm 37:1-2) In this war, we can’t enter the battlefield with a half dressed. We must put on the full uniform to protect us from the wiles of the devil and unforeseen dangers. “Put on the whole armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s scheme.” (Ephesians 6:11) In this war, we are not fighting against flesh and blood; but against spiritual wickness and demonic spirits. “For our struggles is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the power of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12) When God created the Heavens and earth, everything He created was wonderful. Because of disobedience and sins, it appears, people have veered away from God and His word. Satan saw this gap between people and God and he is using this opening to entice and deceive people. There’s some good in the worst of people.

As Spiritual leaders, we must remind people of their choices and actions. We must be a light in this dark world. We must continue to preach repentance and remind people that the “wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) In my limited understanding, I believe some people think that God allowed His Only Begotten Son to be nailed to a cross, die for our sins and there is no repercussions. Many people believe when this earthly life is over, they will go on to live with Christ-without repenting or turning from their sins. Christ did not die for one specific race but He died for all; that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. “And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)

Prayer: Father, we stretch our hands to thee. In Thee only, do we put our trust. We ask You to bring repentance to a cold and sin-sick world. We ask You to draw sinners out. Call them by their names. Open the ears of the Spiritual deaf and the hearts of the hardhearted to hear Your voice and open the doors of their hearts. Amen
