But God

March 19, 2018

When I look back over my life, I know it was the love and protection of God. What the enemy meant to destroy me, God us it to elevate me.

I have been sucked under water in a sink-hole while crossing a rising river. The enemy tried to use a huge growth underneath my throat to take my voice; but God. I have been paralyzed from waist down as a result of wrong medication. I have had two guns drawn on me; God had His hand on me with one of the guns and the other one snapped. I have had a hunting knife placed to my throat, been in several automobile accidents without a scratch, injury or broken bones. Have laid over a tractor-trailer and walked away. Have came face to face with a water moccasin with only a flash-light while retrieving a snake from a neighbor home. Found myself standing on the head and not the tail of a rattlesnake, been hospitalized as a result of a black-widower bite.

The enemy had plans to destroy me, but God. “God knew the plans He had for me: plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future.” Satan is busy trying to knock us off our assignment. If Satan had his way, either of his snares would have taken my life. The Word of God said that I should live and not die. The Apostle Paul was beaten, imprisoned, shipwrecked but refused to give up. Many of us looking back over our lives, knew it was God and not we ourselves that brought us through the rough places.

After God delivered the Israelites, departed the Red Sea and placed their feet upon a Solid Ground, many went back to serving idols. When Jesus healed the ten lepers, only one came back to give Him thanks. How many of us returned to give thanks? God have smiled upon us, blessed us and kept us safe. Now, we have turned our backs on friends and families; thinking to be something when we are nothing.

Jesus did not die on the cross for us to mistreat one another; but to love one another. The same God that giveth is the same God that is able to take away. Never outgrow your blessings or your God. Many believe that God is asleep and don’t see their evil-doings. Whatever evil we attempt to cover will be uncovered. God see all wrong-doings, everything hidden or covered. It appears, many believe they will be exempt from God’s judgment. “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judge; for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemn thyself; for thou that judgest does the same things.” (Roman 2:1)
